Many of his family are buried there although there is also a Blenheim Palace chapel. His parents are also buried at Bladon near Woodstock and his brother Jack and also his children. Inside the Church there is a small Churchill display. Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill (30 Nov 1874 – 24 January 1965). His tomb is again attracting attention on the 75th anniversary of V.E. Day.

Churchill died in the morning of Sunday 24 January 1965 in his home at 28 Hyde Park Gate, London. You could easily walk by his Tombstone if you didn't know he was buried here.
** PLANNING A VISIT **
If you want to visit his graveside then just be aware that Bladon is a very small village with rather a busy roadside and very limited parking. This is a perhaps a blessing as it hinders mass tourism by coaches. The village is not far from Blenheim Palace and the town of Woodstock all worth visiting.
Winston Churchill's State Funeral was watched by 350 million people worldwide. He had been declining since a heart attack in 1955. After the State Funeral his coffin was brought by train to Oxfordshire and he was interred in St Martins Churchyard after a private family ceremony.
