studio vlog ✸ running my small business, new tote bags, packing orders, + digital illustration

My first studio vlog ever is finally here! I just had a recent shop update where I released my first ever tote bags and was so surprised by all the love you all have shown them. I'm just so grateful.

I've grown a lot in this illustration and small business journey and I really want to share more parts of my process, behind the scenes, snippets from my life, and thoughts that drift around in my mind (related and unrelated to all that). I hope to get better at editing/filming and making these more interesting and entertaining, but for now, happy watching and I hope you enjoy! :-)

hello! my name is miranda and i'm a chinese-filipino american living in california. I work a 9-5, but run my small business, Mando's Bake Shop, on the side. The name grew out of my love for baking and I treated my account like a virtual bake shop, creating illustrations inspired by desserts I love. My style has evolved, but baking will always be the original inspiration source. You'll also see illustrations embracing all things connected to my life, asian culture and upbringing, and environment.
