Why we flew from UK to Croatia just to see a dentist?

You read that right. We didn't fly to the stunning, sun-drenched city of Dubrovnik for a holiday... but for a dental appointment. And it was one of the best decisions we've ever made!

Let's talk numbers, because this is the truly shocking part:
*M’s Filling:* €295 in Croatia (A cool £2500 in the UK for private!)
*My Clean & Scan:* €84 in Croatia (A painful £300 in the UK!)

So, why not just use the NHS? Well, the NHS dental system is basically on life support. It's nearly impossible to get an appointment, waiting lists are months long, and many clinics aren't even taking new NHS patients. Faced with those crazy private prices, we did the math... and realized it was cheaper to get on a plane!

My husband had a conference here anyway, so I tagged along for a city break and a... teeth break? 😂

And honestly? The Croatian dental experience was fantastic. The clinic was modern, the dentist was lovely and spoke perfect English. 10/10 would recommend getting a filling here.

So if you're in the UK struggling to see a dentist, maybe consider a "dental holiday." You might just save enough for your next actual holiday!
