On October 9th, 2025 the New York Islanders will begin their 53rd season. Thanks to winning the NHL draft lottery the Islanders have will have Matthew Schaefer on the roster for his much anticipated his rookie season.
Another big change for this team is in management. In the 2025 offseason, GM Lou Lamoriello was replaced by Mathieu Darche. Patrick Roy remained the head coach, but new faces like Maxim Shabanov, Jonathan Drouin, David Rittich, Cal Ritchie, and Emil Heineman give the Isles a much different look going into this season.
In honor of the new era, this hype video is dedicated to the success former eras of this franchise accomplished.
