The St. Lawrence Market Tour: Inside Toronto’s 200 Years Old Icon
St. Lawrence Market, located at the corner of Lower Jarvis and Front Street, has been a Toronto landmark for over 200 years. Today, the building features retail businesses on the ground floor and City of Toronto offices on the second floor.
The main and lower levels of the South Market are home to more than 120 specialty vendors offering everything from fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, grains, baked goods, and dairy products to unique artisan and non-food items.
The best time to visit is on weekdays, especially in the morning, when I filmed, since weekends tend to be very busy and crowded.
