Yesterday, Wednesday 10th September, conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk was assassinated.
He died doing what he did most and did best - going to college campuses and discussing ideas with his political opponents, and any one else who wanted to do so.
Though he stood his ground, he always did so respectfully, not engaging in name-calling or ad hominem, and instead just focused on giving facts and reason.
They took his life anyway.
