In this video, I explain the basics of Pictos and Lumina in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Pictos are powerful accessory items that have levels, stats, passives (called Lumina), and a mastery system.
While each character is only allowed to have three pictos equipped at a time, lumina points can be allocated to gain many more lumina at the same time. Your characters gain lumina points each time they level and by trading in Colour of Lumina to an NPC that will be unlocked early during your adventures.
Each lumina/passive has tangible benefits in Expedition 33's turn based combat system. The rewards of combat and planning your pictos and lumina loadouts is a huge part of the game. The number of details and options are huge, which makes understanding the system even more important!
