The Halifax Commons act as an interchange for bike traffic moving between the North, South, West End, and Downtown Halifax. Despite the central importance of the Commons for getting around the urban core by bike, they are first and foremost a park, and are designed more around pedestrians than cyclists.
In this video, I go over some ways to make the Commons itself more bike-friendly and to better integrate it with the bike network in surrounding neighbourhoods.
