The Untold Story Of Devi Brahmani
Devi Brahmani Mata, the daughter of Lord Brahma, is honored on the second day of Navratri. She once meditated in the sacred courtyard of Chaurasi Temple, but even Lord Shiva’s presence couldn’t keep her there. According to stories, when Shiva arrived with 84 Siddhas, she was enraged by their presence in her meditative space.
Even after Shiva’s reassurance, her anger remained when she saw that the Siddhas had transformed into 84 Shivlings by morning. In response, Shiva proclaimed the place as Chaurasi Dham and asked her to find a new abode.
Thus, she moved to Dugga Sar, choosing a spot from where she could never see the Chaurasi temples again. It is believed that no pilgrim visiting Manimahesh or Chaurasi Dham can return without seeking her blessings.
