The Last of Us/The Last of Us 2 music video to First Aid Kit's "Emmylou". THIS VIDEO CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE LAST OF US 1 AND 2!
I first had the idea for this video back around 2013 when I played The Last of Us. At the time I wasn't really sure how to get the footage for it, or if there'd be enough footage. The idea sort of sat on the shelf until I played The Last of Us 2 last year. When I got to the early scene of Joel singing to Ellie, I remembered the scene from the end of this video, and I remembered my video idea, and I started crying, haha. This video ended up with a very bittersweet tone that reflects Ellie's complicated father/daughter relationship to Joel and how it ultimately leads her down the wrong path as she struggles to let go.
