Uploading a higher quality version as the one officially posted by Warner Archive has sound balancing issues.
Twice Upon a Time is a 1983 animated film released by The Ladd Company (a defunct studio owned by Warner Brothers) and is a collaboration between Korty Films and Lucasfilms LTD. Twice Upon a Time is an American animated adventure fantasy comedy film co-directed by John Korty and Charles Swenson from a screenplay by Korty, Swenson, Suella Kennedy, and Bill Couturié. The first animated film produced by George Lucas, it uses a form of cutout animation which the filmmakers called "Lumage," involving prefabricated cutout elements that the animators moved on a light table. The film was one of the last two films made by The Ladd Company and was given an extremely limited theatrical run taking in only $5000 against its budget of $3 million. Two versions of the film exist: the family friendly version as intended by director John Korty and the adult language version cut assembled by producer Bill Couturié (in response to a botched test screening of the film). The movie aired a few times on HBO (showing both cuts) and Showtime (Korty's cut) in the mid to late 80s, seeing one airing on the Disney Channel and in 1998 on Cartoon Network (both networks aired Korty's cut). Korty's cut was initially released on VHS and Laserdisc in 1991. As of 2015 both movies are available on DVD via Warner Archive, and unfortunately is not available on streaming due to licensing issues.
Summary:
Mumford and Ralph go on a quest to release time from a frozen state, to help Flora Fauna rescue her uncle. But they are attacked by vultures that spread nightmares wherever they go.
