Part of my practice routine as a Nashville guitarist is getting deep inside a country hit to find out what makes it tick: what choices did the guitarist on the session make, and why? This stuff fascinates me - and studying it may help facilitate my pivot from "road guy" to "session guy". (What Nash session ace and Youtuber Justin Ostrander calls "practicing for your job".)
