Mario Kart DS is a 2005 go-kart racing game for the Nintendo DS, the fifth in the series, featuring a cast of Mario characters racing on tracks from the series' history and new ones. Key innovations include a two-screen display with a map, online multiplayer via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, a new Mission Mode, and DS Download Play for multiplayer with a single game card.
