Mappe Of (Stiegl Hidden Studio Sessions)

Mappe Of is the new musical project of Tom Meikle, who just signed to Paper Bag Records. After years of playing in bands and focusing on becoming a virtuoso guitarist, he shifted his focus to songwriting and performing as a frontman. He spent a while busking in Australia, experimenting with his writing and performing to passersby on the street.

“I’ve been writing as much music as I can, experimenting in as many genres as I can, and educating myself, in music and in general, to forge a new path,” says Meikle. He's clearly taken time to craft a unique and thoughtful sound, and his commitment to the art of songwriting was on full display when he visited us in the Stiegl Hidden Studio to play a few songs from his upcoming debut.

His debut album A Northern Star, A Perfect Stone is being released this week, and judging from what we've heard so far it's going to be quite the record. Watch our session to see him perform "Nimbin", "Cavern's Dark" and "Ruin" live in the Stiegl Hidden Studio.
