In the original movie, this song played when Lee Che-ming, the father of the family, leaves for the United States to study abroad. Sad by the situation, the wife and the children cry as their father boards on the plane, not to come back to the country for several years. Afterwards at the song stops, the aunt scoffs at them for being emotional at his departure (typical brother-sister quarrel).
