Hyde Park Rain Walk in London

Join me in the rain as we take a rain walk through Hyde Park in London.

Explore the lush greenery, serene lake as we embrace the peacefulness of this picturesque London rainy weather with typical grey sky. Listen to the soothing sound of rain as we take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Unfortunately, there are no areas left without traffic noise in England, and Hyde Park is by no means an exception. I placed the mics in the umbrella to reduce the amount of traffic noise in this video. In person, there was still a lot of traffic, plane, helicopter & artificial noise to the point of it being quite distracting. I'm looking for a place in England with the least amount of artificial noises- similar to middle of USA, however, have so far not found anywhere like that.

All audio and video was recorded on location in stereo for an immersive "as-if-you're-there" experience. Please note that some scenes inevitably include traffic noises, so if you suffer from anxiety like me, feel free to use the timings below to focus on the "peaceful" streets.

Unlike with professional shotgun mics (often used in ambience videos on youtube), the audio in this clip has not been artificially pasted together from hot (loud) sources, but instead everything captured is exactly as it was on the day. I feel that many youtube ambience channels paste audio together ontop of video footage and it loses a sense of the reality of the moment.

I placed the microphones in the umbrella inside socks for wind protection, and to reduce traffic noise to a minimum to aid in relaxation.
