Here's "Circassion Circle" played by Peter Wyper the first Accordionist to be recorded from a Rare 78 rpm shellac recording released in 1915.
The Circassian circle is a Scottish Ceilidh dance for couples. Dancers stand in a large circle on the dance floor. The men have their partners on their right hand side. Everyone in the circle joins hands to start the dance.
Peter Wyper (1861 in Lanarkshire, Scotland[1] – 1920) was a player of the diatonic button accordion (or melodeon),[2] believed to have been the first person to ever be recorded playing the accordion, which he did on wax cylinder in 1903.[1] Peter and his brother Daniel Wyper (b. 1872[3]) recorded together as the "Wyper Brothers", performing Scottish and Irish music.
