Rental Cover Calculations - how much rent you need to get a buy-to-let mortgage. Today I cover the mortgage lenders' requirements when it comes to how much rent you will need to receive on your property before they grant you a mortgage. How do they work it out? And what happens if the valuer says we can't get as much rent as we think we can? I dive into this with lots of examples, including how to work out the maximum the lender will lend if your rent is down-valued.
