Joe Keery's music is meant to be experienced live so the songs get enough justice. I'll be honest that I had no clue when that small part of ''End of Beginning'' was trending on TikTok, that Steve from Stranger Things as I knew him, was the singer of that song. Fast forward a few months later and I saw a teaser of his song Basic Being Basic, which is how I found out that Steve was actually Djo, and I kinda immediately fell in love with that song. His ''The Crux'' album has been one of my favorite albums released so far this year and I have no words for how amazing he actually is live.
His music sounds like it could easily belong in the 60's and 70's, with lots of it heavily reminding me of The Beatles and simply old school bands, but still adding his own twist and uniqueness to it.
Definitely another highlight of this year to have been able to witness this tour. :)
PS. Also, tell me that Runner does not remind you of Stranger Things. Exactly, you can't.
