Built-in Simulator Function of T16D Transmitter
T16D comes with built-in Simulator Function, which means you can play simulator just by using a Type-C cable to connect T16D to the computer.
Built-in simulator function is for open source simulators such as TRYP FPV, AeroFly, Uncrashed, liftoff, FPV LOGIC, Velocidrone and so on. Both Windows and Mac computer can be used.
But for traditional simulators like Phoenix, you still need a dongle to connect T16D to the computer.
Here are the steps to use the Built-in Simulator Function of T16D:
1.Update the firmware of T16D to V1.7.1 or above.
2.Connect T16D to the computer
3.Play simulator on the computer.
First, please update the firmware of T16D to V1.7.1 or above. You can download the latest firmware of T16D on RadioLink official website and check the tutorial on how to update the firmware here.
(T16D firmware download link: www.radiolink.com/t16d_firmwares)
Enter MAIN MENU--Transmitter Settings--ABOUT. We can see the firmware version of this T16D is V1.7.1, which supports Built-in Simulator Function.
Second, connect T16D to the computer and play simulator on the computer.
Here is the Type-C cable that comes with T16D. Connect one end to the type-C port of T16D. Connect the other end to the computer.
(Both Windows and Mac computer can be used.)
Third, play simulator on the computer.
The using methods are similar for all simulator software. We use Uncrashed simulator as an example. It has already been installed on my computer. You can download the simulator software online.
Open it. Click option. Move the joystick and there is movement of the bars. And here is ~~, which means the transmitter is recognized. (If the transmitter is not recognized, please change another cable with data transmission function.)
The stick mode of this T16D is mode 2, with throttle on the right stick. So we need to select mode 2 here.
Then we need to calibrate the transmitter. Click AUTO to calibrate each stick. Then follow the instructions to move the joystick.
Pay attention! If the movement of the stick is opposite to the bar movement here, please click invert here. Then the movements will be correct.
After that, click stick calibration. Move all sticks to the limits. Center all the sticks and press OK. The calibration is done.
By the way, here is reset. I can assign a switch to restore the drone to the original flight condition when there is a crash.
For flight modes, I can assign a 3 position switch to change the flight modes.
There are some other setting menus such as graphics, gameplay/audio, rates, and drone settings. You can set them according to your needs.
Back. Single player.
We can select the scene we like. Wait for loading.
Lower the throttle to the lowest position to arm the drone.
Push up the throttle to fly it.
So, that’s all about the Built-in Simulator Function of T16D Transmitter.
