To get started with creating an offer, log on to our website and click on “Create an Offer.” After clicking the page, you will be redirected to a page where you’ll be inputting your preferences.

The first step in creating an offer is selecting your payment method.

The payment methods are divided into 6 categories: gift cards, cash deposits, online wallets, debit/credit cards, bank transfers, and digital currencies.

If you can’t find the payment method you’re looking for, there’s a handy search bar you can use.

Once that’s finished, select the currency you’d like to trade with and proceed to the next step.

The next portion of the form under “Percent above market rate your offer will list at” is the percentage of profit you’ll be making with each sale. Note that whatever you put in this field is final. Paxful does not allow any haggling of prices with traders, as this is against our Terms of Service. This is very important because it pertains to how much money you’ll be making with your transactions. Be careful not to make it too high. Doing so could scare potential buyers away. On the other hand, making it too low or putting it as negative means not earning as much as you could. The best method is to give a fair markup percentage.

The section under “Offer trade limits” pertains to the amount of local currency you’ll be accepting. For example, if you choose to only accept between $10 and $100, then set $10 as your minimum and $100 as your maximum.

The field labeled “Offer time limit” refers to the payment window of the trade. This is the allotted time that both buyers and sellers have to complete the trade. The buyer will have to provide your required proof of payment and the seller has to release the Bitcoin within the set amount of time or risk having the trade become void.

“Offer tags” allows you to choose the tags that you’ll be giving your offer. Tags allow the offer to gain more traffic, thus allowing more people to see your offer. The more people that see your offer, the more chances you have of selling your Bitcoin. Paxful provides a list of tags that may pertain to your offer. If your tag isn’t included in the drop-down list, you always have the option to suggest new tags.

“Your offer label” is the phrase that will be seen with your offer. This bit of personal branding serves as a tagline that will hopefully draw in more potential customers. Try to make this as enticing and catchy as possible so you maximize your chances of making a sale.

The next two fields will decide the terms and the instructions for your offer. Where it says, “Offer terms for the buyer” makes it so you can show a brief description to prospective buyers alongside your offer. These terms should make it very clear what is to be expected from the trade. The information given here should be enough to let potential buyers know what they can expect when they trade with you. “Trade instructions” refers to the instructions that your trade partners MUST follow once the trade has begun. It’s recommended that you make your instructions short, clear, and possibly bulleted. Here, a step-by-step approach is required so there is no confusion on the buyer’s end.

After all of this has been completed, you’re ready to click on “Create offer” and start trading! If you’d like, you can also explore the “Advanced Options” section if you want more control over who you can trade with you. A pro tip is to make your form as detailed as possible so your trading experience is as efficient as possible.

Once you’ve created your first offer to sell your Bitcoin, the vendor dashboard will be made available for you to monitor your active trades, earnings, and overall activity.
