Lazy Lester (born Leslie Johnson, June 20, 1933 – August 22, 2018) was an American blues musician, recognized for his contributions to the swamp blues genre. As a singer and multi-instrumentalist, he was most proficient on the harmonica and guitar.

During the 1950s and 60s, Lester became a key figure in the Louisiana blues scene through his work with the producer J.D. "Jay" Miller and Excello Records. His musical style is characterized by a relaxed vocal delivery and a distinctive harmonica technique. In addition to his solo recordings, Lester was a frequent session musician for other notable Excello artists, including Lightnin' Slim, Slim Harpo, and Katie Webster. His work has been influential and is considered fundamental to the swamp blues sound.

The song "They Call Me Lazy," released in 1958, is one of Lester's most recognized recordings. The track is built upon a shuffle rhythm and features a prominent, melodic harmonica part.
