There’s nothing more special than seeing a new generation of kiwi chicks on the move! Captured on our trail cameras, these tiny taonga are a sign of hope — and a reminder of how vulnerable they are in their early weeks of life.
Stoats and other mustelids are the biggest threat to kiwi chicks, with more than 90% not surviving without predator control. That’s why checking and setting traps regularly is one of the most important actions we can take to protect our kiwi and help them thrive in the wild.
