Throttle body replacement. 2020 Altima Nissan.

Symptoms. The check engine light is on and at times the engine stalls while at idle.

Code. P0101 MAF sensor circuit bank 1.

Step 1. Disconnect the MAF sensor harness connector, and remove it from the air filter box, then Remove the box.

Step 2, Remove the throttle body harness connector.

Step 3. Remove both coolant hoses connected to the throttle body make sure that there is no pressure in the cooling system. You can use hose pinch off pliers to squeeze the hoses shut for minimum coolant loss. Don't use the type of pliers that I used as you can damage the hoses.

Step 4. Remove all 4 bolts that hold the throttle body.

Reverse the steps to install.

Don't forget to check the coolant and install a new air filter.

After the installation is completed the throttle body will need to be reprogrammed. Here at Nissan we use the consult scan tool.
