This is our quail tractor alley in the summer time, the tractors are in one place for 3 days to two weeks depending on the number of quail inside.
When you move a tractor there is a lot of manure and seeds from their feed, and little scratch holes from them rooting around. And it looks burnt and unhealthy, BUT IT'S NOT!
Once we move a tractor, that space is not reused for the remainder of the summer it rests.
Now that spring is just around the corner the results are showing us how much healthier the tractor spaces are - the grass is showing, it is abundant, and in the same shape as the tractor.
Quail are micro little fertilizers! while they get a lovely summer home in the alley, they also give us the gift of healthier soil, and more nourishing grasses!
