This past weekend, I was reflecting on the death of George Floyd and systemic racism that continues to take root in North American society. To be honest, this song was very difficult to play, considering the pain I was feeling from everything that has happened. This cover is from the very depths of my heart....and I hope it brings you some healing and restoration.
With Jesus, our world has hope. However, I hope we will also take every opportunity we have to speak out about racism and how it is deeply rooted in North American society. I am hoping that my White Christian brothers and sisters will speak out on the issue of racism and shine the light of Jesus on the way black communities continue to be impacted by multiple forms of systemic oppression.
