Hey Everyone Welcome to the channel! I was in the Black Hills of South Dakota for a few days this week for my brother's wedding, and had a little time to do some prospecting as well. I visited Big Thunder Gold Mine and I was very impressed. The town of Keystone is beautiful and sits down in a valley of the mountains. The mine itself was clean and inviting, and the staff were some of the friendliest people we met on our trip. I did some gold panning in the troughs on Thursday morning and found good gold. I also signed up for a 4 hour claim tour on Friday for some of our family members. We had a blast hiking up on the mountain and digging a pit, then running the material through a sluice. Our guide Jake was very friendly, and awesome about helping my niece and nephew find some gold! If you're in the Black Hills and have a few hours to play in the dirt I highly recommend this place! I hope everyone has a great prospecting season this summer, and you're subscription is greatly appreciated.
