How to tell when it's time to repot your succulents (Echinopsis chamaecereus 'Peanut Cactus')

It's obviously time to repot this Peanut Cactus! Why obvious? Watch and learn, succulent friends!

This is an Echinopsis chamaecereus 'Peanut Cactus' (because the new growth is shaped like unshelled peanuts) and was about to unpot itself if didn't move it to a bigger pot.
