Demonstrating the power of the Mori Seiki NL2500 with built in motor turret. The machine is standard specification and tooled with integrated Capto C5 tool holders.
The first milling tool after facing is a Coromill 390 running at 200 m/min, 0,2 mm/rev/insert feedrate and 7mm cutting depth.
At 1:27 we turn over the slots intermittent cutting, cutting speed 300m/min, feed 0,3, 7,5mm depth of cut.
This is really not recommended but the machine handles it very well, notice that the camera mounted inside the machine is not shaking.
