1977년에 결성된 미국의 디스코 그룹 Village People 의 대표곡으로 전 세계적으로 큰 인기를 끌었던 YMCA를 연주했습니다. 1978년에 발표한 디스코 곡으로 당시 1970년대 후반의 디스코 열풍과 더불어 시그니쳐 춤과 함께 불려지는 노래로 유명합니다.그들의 무대 의상과 캐릭터가 독특한 특징을 지니고 있는데요 멤버들은 각각 경찰, 군인, 인디언, 소방관 등 다양한 직업을 상징하는 캐릭터로 무대에 등장합니다.
