กองทัพไทยชี้แจงต่อคณะผู้ช่วยทูตทหารต่างประเทศประจำประเทศไทย

กองทัพไทยชี้แจงต่อคณะผู้ช่วยทูตทหารต่างประเทศประจำประเทศไทย (Military Attache Corps to Thailand : MAC-T) จำนวน 19 ประเทศ เกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ความมั่นคง ไทย-กัมพูชา โดยเฉพาะเหตุปะทะบริเวณชายแดนครั้งล่าสุด

วันอังคารที่ 9 ธันวาคม 2568 เวลา 13.00 นาฬิกา กองทัพไทยจัดการประชุมชี้แจงข้อเท็จจริงเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ความมั่นคง ไทย-กัมพูชา โดยมี พลเอก ชิดชนก นุชฉายา เสนาธิการทหาร กองบัญชาการกองทัพไทย เป็นประธาน และมีผู้แทนของกรมข่าวทหารบก ผู้แทนของกรมข่าวทหาร ร่วมกับผู้แทนกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ร่วมให้ข้อมูลสำคัญต่อคณะผู้ช่วยทูตทหารต่างประเทศประจำประเทศไทย จำนวน 19 ประเทศ ณ ห้องประชุมออดิทอเรียม อาคาร 9 กองบัญชาการกองทัพไทย ถนนแจ้งวัฒนะ กรุงเทพฯ

การชี้แจงมุ่งเน้นประเด็นสถานการณ์ความมั่นคงบริเวณชายแดน โดยเฉพาะเหตุการณ์ทหารกัมพูชาเปิดฉากยิงโจมตีก่อน และแสดงท่าทีเป็นปรปักษ์ต่อฝ่ายไทยมากขึ้น ตั้งแต่วันอาทิตย์ที่ 7 ธันวาคม 2568 ในพื้นที่ ภูผาเหล็ก-พลาญหินแปดก้อน อำเภอกันทรลักษ์ จังหวัดศรีสะเกษ และกระจายไปยังหลายพื้นที่ อาทิ จังหวัดศรีสะเกษ จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี จังหวัดสุรินทร์ จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ จังหวัดสระแก้ว และจังหวัดตราด เป็นเหตุให้กำลังพลฝ่ายไทยได้รับบาดเจ็บสาหัส และเสียชีวิต นอกจากนี้ ยังปรากฏการใช้อาวุธต่อประชาชน โดยมีการยิงอาวุธ BM-21 ของกัมพูชาโจมตีใส่พื้นที่บ้านสายโท 10 ใต้ จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่บ้านเรือนประชาชน และยังเป็นเหตุให้กำลังพลฝ่ายไทยได้รับบาดเจ็บและเสียชีวิต ซึ่งทำให้ฝ่ายไทยจำเป็นต้องตอบโต้ตามกฎการปะทะเพื่อยับยั้งการโจมตีของฝ่ายตรงข้าม ในขณะเดียวกันยังยืนยันจุดยืนของไทยในการปกป้องอธิปไตย และบูรณภาพแห่งดินแดน ทั้งนี้ การปฏิบัติการทางทหารจะดำเนินต่อไปจนกว่ากัมพูชาจะเปลี่ยนแนวทางและแสวงหาสันติภาพ

โอกาสนี้ เสนาธิการทหาร กองบัญชาการกองทัพไทย ได้เน้นถึงเจตนารมณ์อันแน่วแน่ของไทยในการแก้ไขปัญหาโดยสันติวิธีตามหลักสากล อย่างไรก็ตาม จากเหตุการณ์ยั่วยุที่ผ่านมา ทำให้ฝ่ายไทยมีความจำเป็นต้องดำเนินมาตรการตอบโต้ตามสัดส่วน เนื่องจากถือเป็นสิทธิ์ของไทยในการปกป้องอธิปไตย พร้อมทั้งกล่าวแสดงความขอบคุณต่อคณะผู้ช่วยทูตทหารต่างประเทศ ที่ให้เกียรติสละเวลาเข้ารับฟังการชี้แจง พร้อมทั้งให้ความสนใจ ซักถาม และแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองอย่างสร้างสรรค์ ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นร่วมกันของประเทศต่าง ๆ ในการธำรงไว้ซึ่งสันติภาพและเสถียรภาพของภูมิภาค

The Royal Thai Armed Forces provided a briefing to the Military Attaché Corps to Thailand (MAC-T), representing 19 countries, on "the Current Situation on Thailand-Cambodia Border Security", particularly the latest clashes along the border.

On Tuesday, 9 December 2025 at 13:00 hrs, the Royal Thai Armed Forces held a meeting to present factual information on the security situation between Thailand and Cambodia. The session was chaired by General Chitchanok Nujjaya, Chief of Joint Staff, Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, with the participation of representatives from the Directorate of Intelligence of the Royal Thai Army, the Directorate of Joint Intelligence of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Together, they delivered key updates to the Military Attaché Corps to Thailand (MAC-T) from 19 countries, at the Auditorium, Building 9, Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, Chaengwattana Road, Bangkok.

The briefing focused on the security situation along the border, particularly the incident in which Cambodian forces initiated armed attacks against Thailand and displayed increasingly hostile intent beginning on Sunday, 7 December 2025, in the Phu Pha Lek-Phlan Hin Paet Kon area, Kantharalak District, Si Sa Ket Province.

The clashes subsequently expanded into several provinces, including Si Sa Ket, Ubon Ratchathani, Surin, Buri Ram, Sa Kaeo, and Trat Provinces, resulting in severe injuries and fatalities among Thai personnel.

Furthermore, evidence indicated the use of weapons against civilians, including the BM-21 rocket attack launched by Royal Cambodian Armed Forces against Ban Sai Tho 10 Tai, Buri Ram Province, a civilian residential area. This attack also caused injuries and fatalities among Thai troops.

These actions compelled Thailand to respond in accordance with the Rules of Engagement to halt further attacks by the opposing force. At the same time, Thailand reaffirmed its commitment to protect national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Military operations will continue until Cambodia changes its course and seeks peace.

On this occasion, the Chief of Joint Staff of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters emphasized Thailand’s steadfast intention to resolve the issue through peaceful means consistent with international principles. However, due to recent provocations, Thailand was required to take proportionate countermeasures, which remain within Thailand’s sovereign right to defend itself.

He also expressed appreciation to the Military Attaché Corps to Thailand for taking the time to attend the briefing, for their interest, questions, and constructive exchanges, which reflect the collective commitment of the international community to sustaining peace and stability in the region.
