This is a drive on The Lincoln Highway through Greensburg, PA. This is also the former routing of US 30 through Greensburg prior to the completion of its expressway bypass. There are directional signs in Downtown Greensburg erroneously signing this route as US 30, however US 30 is available from both ends of this route. Despite being the former route of US 30, this route never received the designation of Business US 30.
Named after President Abraham Lincoln, The Lincoln Highway is significant as it was the first transcontinental road in the United States starting in San Francisco, CA and ending in New York City, NY. Throughout its course in Pennsylvania, The Lincoln Highway is designated on the US 30 corridor with a few deviations where it is designated its original route. Once in Philadelphia, the Lincoln Highway departs the US 30 corridor and follows the US 1 corridor. While there are obvious modernizations, the route in this direction is the original 1913 route through Greensburg, PA.
