Judge Fleischer Unleashes Fury On Man Who Ravaged Pregnant Woman!
Davon Wheeler appeared in Harris County court facing a Class A misdemeanor charge for possession of marijuana, elevated due to the offense occurring in a drug-free zone. The judge informed him that the charge carried up to one year in jail and a $4,000 fine, and advised him of his constitutional rights. According to the officer’s probable cause
and concealed a small bag of marijuana—later weighed at approximately 0.5 ounces—in his clothing. He was detained without incident.
The situation was complicated by the fact that Wheeler was already out on bond for a prior case. The court emphasized that one of the conditions of bond is not to pick up new charges. Records showed that Wheeler signed bond conditions on April 24, 2024, and within days, he was arrested again for criminal trespass, triggering a bond violation. Due to this violation, the judge revoked his bond and ordered that he remain in custody while appointing counsel.
During bond discussions, the court noted Wheeler was previously denied a personal recognizance (PR) bond, largely because he was already on deferred adjudication for assault of a pregnant person, with that complainant being his sister. Further concerns were raised about public safety and Wheeler’s repeated involvement with the justice system.
In a related proceeding involving Davon East, the court addressed another defendant on serious probation for assault involving a pregnant woman who had picked up a new case after making threats during a domestic dispute. Despite employment and family ties, the judge made clear that probation violations and repeated arrests would not be excused. The court ultimately offered conditional leniency, requiring strict anger management participation, no contact with complainants, and no substance use, warning that any failure would result in immediate incarceration.
Overall, the hearings highlighted how bond conditions, probation rules, and repeated violations significantly limit judicial patience and greatly increase
the risk of jail time, regardless of employment or family circumstances.
