William Shakespeare`s birthplace is located in Henley Street, Startford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England and believed that he was born in 1564.He was a great poet, playwright, and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world`s greatest dramatist. Shakespeare`s Birthplace is a restored 16th-century half-timebered house.
It is now a small museum open to the public and a popular visit attraction, owned and managed by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. It has been referred to us a "mecca for all lovers of literature." The house itself is relatively simple, but for the late 16th century it would have been considered quite a substantial dwelling.
Known throughout the world, Shakespeare`s writings capture the range of human emotion and conflict and have been celebratedfor more than 400 years. And yet, the personal life of William Shakespeare is somewhat a mystery.
He was married to Anne Hathaway when he was 18 years old and Anne was 26, and it turned out that she was pregnant. They had 3 children Susanna, the eldest and twins Judith and Hamnet. Shakespeare had four grandchildre as well who all died without heirs, so there are no direct descendants of his line today.
Some of his best plays include: The Merchant of Venice, Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, Othello, King Lear, Mid-Summer Night`s Dream, macbeth and Hamlet.
Some Important Facts of His Life:
