In this video, you will witness two dudes go from knowing nothing to... something?
My 2017 Moto Guzzi Griso had a clutch issue, seemingly out of nowhere. The clutch stopped actuating. We took it apart and relied on community knowledge and our trusty manuals.
After much time and effort, we found the clutch wasn't actuating because of an engine bearing set not being installed by the previous owner. This caused the pushrod to drill through the plate, which controls the flywheel/diaphragm.
We replaced the plate as seen in the video and installed a new bearing set, which sits on the tap that the slave cylinder pushes. But there was still an issue after these things.
We did not put this part in the video, as it is poor practice, but we realized the damage also included the shortening of our pushrod. so we "extended" it by cutting off a quarter inch of a drill bit and putting that inside of the slave cylinder. This is but a temporary fix until the new push rod comes in, but until then, it works perfectly.
Comment if you have any questions, advice, or any of your own experiences with Guzzi's or another motorcycle!
I am planning on doing many more videos, including maintenance, road trips, daily rides, and more! Let us know what kind of content you'd like to see from us!
