Jesus sets you free from every bondage!

The cross of Jesus is a powerful message of healing and freedom from sickness and the curse oft he devil, death and hell!

„‘He himself carried our sins’ in his body on the cross. He did it so that we would die as far as sins are concerned. Then we would lead godly lives. ‘His wounds have healed you.’“
1.Peter 2,24

Jesus heals the crippeled woman on the sabbath

„Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on a Sabbath day.
11 A woman there had been disabled by an evil spirit for 18 years. She was bent over and could not stand up straight.
12 Jesus saw her. He asked her to come to him. He said to her, ‘Woman, you will no longer be disabled. I am about to set you free.’
13 Then he put his hands on her. Right away she stood up straight and praised God.
14 Jesus had healed the woman on the Sabbath day. This made the synagogue leader angry. He told the people, ‘There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days. But do not come on the Sabbath day.’
15 The Lord answered him, ‘You pretenders! Doesn’t each of you go to the barn and untie your ox or donkey on the Sabbath day? Then don’t you lead it out to give it water?
16 This woman is a member of Abraham’s family line. But Satan has kept her disabled for 18 long years. Shouldn’t she be set free on the Sabbath day from what was keeping her disabled?’
17 When Jesus said this, all those who opposed him were put to shame. But the people were delighted. They loved all the wonderful things he was doing.“
Luke 13,10-17

Jesus saw her!

Only Jesus can see the problems in your life in the right perspective!

Jesus saw, that she was crippeled by a spirit for 18 years (Verse 10)
Jesus saw, that Satan had kept her bound for 18 Years (Verse 16)
Jesus saw, that she had a spirit of weakness and set her free from it.

Religion can not see the pain of suffering people.

The ruler oft he synagoge:
You have top lease God by your doing! By obeying the rules!
It is more important, what people think of you! Shame on you!
Material belongings are worth more, than the pain of people! Jesus: A donkey is worth more than the suffering of a daugther of God

This story illustrates to us the very important questions of life:

1. Who am I?

Flipchart: The span of life is short: Who am I? For what was I created.
The spirit of this world says to you:

You are:
What you do!
What people think of you!
What I have!

Sometimes we are successful, sometimes we loose everything.
Sometimes people love us, sometimes the same people hate us!
Sometimes we own somethings, sometimes we loose it!

Thats why our lifes are in ups and downs!
And at the end of our lifes we can not take anything with us!

All these answers tot he important questiion: Who am I: Is a lie!

When Jesus was tested by the devil:
The devil wanted to impose to him:

1. You are what you do: Turn the stones into bread!
2. You are precious, because people admire you: Jump from the top oft he temple
3. You are worthy, because of your belongings: I will give you the properties of
the earth

But Jesus said tot he devil: „This is a lie!“

The deepest reason of Life ist o be:
The beloved of God and tob e Lovers and worshippers of God!

2. How can I be saved from the curse?

The ruler oft he synagoge says: By doing!
By obeying the rules!
Religion says: You have to impress God, by your doing!

But Jesus sees you!
Jesus set the woman free, by grace and love!

Also christians sometimes live under the curse of religion:
I am saved, because I did the baptism!
I am saved because I sought Jesus!
I am saved because I believed!



The murderer on the cross Luke 23,43:
He was not baptized!
He did not know theology
He only says tot he angel on heavens door: The man beside on the cross said: I can come!

3. The power oft he cross!

Jesus set the woman free from the curse, because oft he power oft he cross!

The sweetest exchange oft he cross:

Jesus became a curse for us, so that we might be blessed! Galatians 3,13
Jesus was made to be sin, so that we will become the righteousness of God! 2.Corinthians 5,21

Jesus was left alone by his father:
„Why have you forsaken me?“ Mark 15,34

So that we might become the beloved of God!
