The 2016 Chevrolet Volt improves over its predecessor in a number of ways. It’s quieter, faster, roomier, and the all-electric range has been increased.
The Chevy Volt is an extended range electric car and not a hybrid. Electric power flows to the two motors which then powers the wheels giving you 53 miles of range. When the juice is gone, the Volt has a generator/range extender which is actually a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder engine. That will give you all the range you need.
