Welcome to a unique historical matchup in Empire: Total War! In this video, we put two iconic melee units head-to-head to determine their true strength on the battlefield.
We're pitting a unit of Cherokee Tomahawk Warriors – fierce, agile, and renowned for their close-quarters combat – against a unit of the Russian Empire's Berdysh Musketeers. While typically armed with muskets, these Berdysh units also wield formidable polearms, making them a surprisingly strong force in melee.
The test was designed to see which unit's fighting style would prevail: the raw aggression and speed of the Tomahawk-wielding Cherokees, or the disciplined, heavy-hitting tactics of the Russian polearm infantry.
