The MIDI-PI is a portable, standalone hardware MIDI file player designed for musicians, synthesizer enthusiasts, and performers who need reliable playback of MIDI sequences without a computer. Built around the Raspberry Pi Pico microcontroller, this compact device reads standard MIDI files from an SD card and sends MIDI data to synthesizers, sound modules, drum machines, or any MIDI-compatible equipment.
MIDI-PI provides features like per-file settings memory, on the fly changes to program, bpm, vol, velocity scaling and more. MIDI input allows one to plug in a keyboard re-route it to any MIDI channel and play along and MIDI Thru mode acts as pass-thru or merge box mode.
Mt32-Pi not only mimics the MT-32’s signature sound but also supports soundfont emulation for a variety of soundfonts. Experience classic retro audio with this solution, which delivers authentic MT-32 and general MIDI sounds while costing considerably less than the original hardware. It can be easily connected to new or older computers equipped with MIDI out.
