Thanks for checking out my channel! In this video I make my first canister Damascus using 1085 ball bearings and 1080 w/ 2% nickel powder and forge that into a 8" Chef Knife. I bought a set of handle scales from G Carta that reminded me of a Flamin' Hot Cheetos bag and I was inspired to attempt to make a specific Damascus pattern - Cheetah Print. It seems easy enough, cheetahs just have spots right? The key was to get the spots close but not touching each other too much, and to distort the spots a little but not too much. This is the reason for tile welding the billet, and the reason I did not forge the tip of the blade.
