This is flight 7 of 28 from my recent trip to Europe. In May, I set out to fly to as many places in Europe as possible, while also flying on as many different airlines and aircraft types as possible. Over a 14 day period I flew on 19 airlines, 21 aircraft types, 30 total flights, all while covering over 31,000 miles. In the end I visited 14 different countries throughout the journey. Over the next few weeks I'll be posting the flights in order, so you too can take this incredible journey, exactly as I did! Flying Around Europe Trip Progress – Flight 7 of 28

Flight 7 Fun Fact – So, there are several fun facts for this flight. Of course, the major one is what unfolds in the video, and that's that Kangerlussuaq was not our intended destination. As you can see in the video, the weather was... Not great... And after two failed attempts to land in Sisimiut, we eventually diverted to Kangerlussuaq. After around 1.5 hours on the ground in Kangerlussuaq, we eventually returned back to Nuuk, as the weather never impoved in Sisimiut. Some of the other fun facts are that Nuuk is the largest city in Greenland with a population of only 20,000. Sisimiut, our intended destination, is the second largest city in Greenland, with a population of only 5,500. And Kangerlussuaq, where we ended up flying to, has a population of only 500. And although the weather never impoved anyway, the 1.5 hours we waited on the ground in Kangerlussuaq wasn't to wait for the weather to improve. It was because we had to wait for the only person in town who could opted the fuel truck to return to airport to fuel the aircraft. He had already gone home for the day and we needed more fuel to make the trip back to Nuuk. In the end, this flight will always be one of the true highlights of my flying adventures. The time I flew to Greenland, the weather was horrid, we decided to try to fly into the arctic circle anyway, couldn't land, diverted to an even smaller city well inside the Arctic Circle, where we then had to wait for the only fuel truck operator in town to come back to work so we could fly back to where it all started 4+ hours before. What a day!
