Introducing Komatsu’s affordable 2D machine control system, branded as Benchmark with Touchpoint. Unlike GPS-dependent 3D systems, Benchmark relies solely on the machine’s onboard sensors to deliver precise grading.
Operators simply set the target depth or slope, dig to grade, and then use Touchpoint—a quick bucket-to-ground reference before and after repositioning—to maintain perfect continuity across the entire pass.
This keeps work accurate and seamless without the need for GPS infrastructure. The system also includes a semi-automatic mode, where the hydraulics automatically stop the bucket or blade exactly on grade for consistent, effortless results.
