Let Go, Let the Heart Be Light

We loved someone so deeply, we carried them inside,
Holding way too tightly, afraid they’d say goodbye.
We thought love meant never letting go,
But the tighter we hold on, the heavier the soul.

The Dharma tells us, it’s not “don’t love,”
It’s “don’t let love become chains.”
If loving turns into suffering,
The heart is clinging… again and again.

Let go… and let your heart be light,
Love without tying suffering inside.
Care, protect, but don’t let the heart fall down,
Letting go today… is true freedom found.

Let… go… let the heart… be light,
Let… us… live free… inside.


We cling to parents, lovers, friends, and names,
To houses, cars, and “mine”—we play this endless game.
One day we must part, no matter slow or fast,
The more we expect, the deeper pain will last.


The mind’s a monkey, jumping all around,
Creating fear where none was ever found.
When we stop clinging, the mind can see,
Stillness reveals reality.

Let go… and let your heart be light,
Love without tying suffering inside.
When the day comes we must say goodbye,
Send kindness and merit—don’t hold on tight.

If you truly love… don’t create pain,
If you miss someone… create goodness again.
Tears cannot help them find their way,
But wholesome deeds reach far beyond what we can say.

Let go… and let your heart be light,
Everything arises—and passes in time.
As long as breath still flows inside,
Use this life… to do what’s kind.
