Interview with the film director, Stanley Kubrick by Joseph Glemis over a two year period where the director talks about how his got started in films and how he learnt the business from the bottom up. He talks about the work he has done on his film 2001 A Space Odessey and explains the thinking behind the film. He also comments extensively on his next project which was to be, Napoleon however this project was cancelled by MGM and we can only imagine what he would have done with such a subject. He talks about his film, lolita and why he had to make it in England and believes he was just a hired hand on the epic film, Spartacus with Kirk Douglas. He believes that the best education in film is to actually make one and talks about some of the books he has read on film making. I have vocalised the interview and the voices you hear are not that of the subjects mentioned, unless stated otherwise. The video also includes some music from his films and others with some video to illustrate the interview.
