The secrets of French nuclear deterrence

The French nuclear deterrence force, also called the strike force, refers to the nuclear weapons systems that France has as part of its nuclear deterrence strategy. France is one of the nine states that possess nuclear weapons at the beginning of the 21st century. It is the fourth country to have developed nuclear weapons after the United States, the Soviet Union and the United Kingdom.
Considering France as a nuclear power requires taking into account many factors. This video, although complete and sufficient to have a general point of view, does not exempt the reading of more specific articles:

During our study of the French nuclear deterrent force, we took as a basis articles, think tank reports but also 3 books by personalities who have studied or worked closely with it. They are called "Deterrence in the third age of nuclear power", "What future for nuclear deterrence" and "French nuclear deterrence after the Cold War"; the first being by Pierre Vandier while the second and third are by Bruno Tertrais. These 2 authors benefit from greater credit following their respective careers, the first has a certificate in atomic engineering awarded by EAMEA (Ecole Application Militaire de l'Énergie Atomique), was in charge of the Rafale program and commanded the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. The second is a political scientist specializing in geopolitical and strategic analysis, but also in nuclear deterrence, he is deputy director of the FRS, the foundation for strategic research. Finally, this video will also use passages from Tristan Aubert's university dissertation "the French nuclear deterrence strategy".
