Barack Obama: First African-American President (2009 – 2017)

Barack Obama made history as the first African-American elected to the presidency. Given America's history of racism and slavery, this was a monumental occurrence in and of itself. Obama also happened to have been elected just at the onset of the worst economic recession since the Great Depression. High hopes were placed upon him to fix a lot of problems, so how did he do? What were his successes and failures? Let's take a look now.
