Ivana Winkler from the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), Germany was recognized for her groundbreaking research using single-cell RNA sequencing to map gene activity in the female reproductive tract, revealing insights with potential for new cancer therapies. She was be joined by Karoline Holler from R&D Pharma, Computational Biology, Bayer AG, who guided us through the use of spatial transcriptomics to overcome roadblocks in drug discovery.
