In Session 3 of Dr. Shoaib Malik's Ramadan series Islam, Science, and God, he explores how we ground our beliefs, building on the framework established in the previous session. He introduces the contingency argument, which he presents as one of the most compelling arguments for God's existence. Dr. Malik explains the distinction between contingent and necessary beings, arguing that the universe and all its constituents are contingent - that is, they could have been otherwise or not existed at all.
This session sets the stage for the next and final session in the series, where Dr. Malik will explore how we move from the concept of a necessary being to identifying that being as God.
