Thad & Mr. Black - a short film about a Homeless Man and his Little Dog

Thad is recently homeless with his little yorkie named Mr. Black. After they meet his dream girl, Sandy, Thad has to try to impress her in her coffee shop.

Coined as a "rock n roll rom com", Thad & Mr. Black was filmed over 1.25 days in Boise Idaho for the Idaho Film Family Festival Competition. Each team was given a decade to be inspired by and this one got the 70's. Shot on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6k Full Frame with vintage Super Takumar lenses and a PK 80-200 zoom lens.

Kody Newton is a director/writer/cinematographer based out of Boise Idaho who is on a crash course of creation as he fights to produce his own films and loves shooting films for others.
