London, England, United Kingdom 1977 (silent Super 8mm film)

Description:
We are in London, the capital and largest city of the United Kingdom and England, to the south-east of which it is located.
The film starts with footage of a London street and a parked vehicle with its doors open. A man and a woman with luggage stand right next to it and the man puts the luggage in the car. We see shots of the area from inside the moving car and the man driving. We are located in Piccadilly Circus, a road junction and public space of London's West End. We see the traffic on the streets, passers by, buses and cars of that era and the "Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain" with the bronze statue “Anteros".
Afterwards, the filmmaker crosses Trafalgar Square with Nelson’s Column standing out and asign informs us that we are on Whitehall Road. The tour continues on the road with Big Ben being vaguely visible in the background and stops at the Horse Guards Building, a historic building in Westminster. The camera focuses on the sign that reads "Queen's Life Guard" and crowds are there to watch the daily ceremony of Changing The Queen's Life Guard on Horse Guards Parade. A guard on his horse and one more sign that says “Parliament Street”, the southern extension of Whitehall, leading to Parliament Square and the UK Parliament.
England flags along with the United Nations ones and the lens stands on Big Ben or Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster. We see a panoramic shot with the palace and the flow in the streets as well as a shot with the bronze statue of Winston Churchill in Parliament Square, created by Ivor Roberts-Jones. A double-decker bus that makes the “Round London Sightseeing Tour” and the bronze statue of Boadicea and Her Daughters on Westminster Bridge.
The film closes with the Parliament and a man who poses in front of it on Westminster Bridge and one last view from the street as the sun sets.
